Terms of Service

These terms govern your Leruna account and the reading, assistant, and subscription services provided through the app.

Agreement and eligibility

By creating an account or using Leruna, you agree to these terms and the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies to the iOS app. If the two conflict about the licensed app, Apple’s standard EULA controls. You must be at least 13 and legally able to enter this agreement, or use Leruna with permission from a parent or guardian.

Your account

Keep access to your account secure and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity through your account. Contact tuanclima@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Reader trial and subscriptions

Eligible users receive one 30-day Reader trial at Leruna’s expense. It has one usage pool for the complete trial, does not require a subscription or payment method, and does not automatically convert into a paid plan. Deleting an account and creating another account with the same verified identity does not restart the trial or replenish its usage pool.

Paid subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple. The price, duration, included allowances, and any offer shown on the App Store purchase sheet control your purchase. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless canceled through your Apple Account at least as required by Apple. Apple handles billing, cancellation, and refund requests.

Plans include monthly usage allowances for features such as imported book words, generated answer audio, images, and AI requests. Usage is measured server-side. Allowances reset according to the period shown in Leruna, do not represent cash, are not transferable, and normally do not roll over. We may prevent an operation when the applicable allowance or overall cost ceiling has been reached.

Your books and content

You retain your rights in content you upload. You grant Leruna and its service providers a limited permission to host, copy, transform, index, and send relevant excerpts to AI providers only as needed to provide the features you request. Upload only material you own, have permission to use, or may lawfully process. Do not use Leruna to infringe copyright or other rights.

AI-generated results

Leruna uses artificial intelligence. Answers, definitions, references, cleaned text, transcripts, and generated images can be incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, or invented. Verify important information and do not rely on Leruna for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other professional decisions. Availability, voices, models, and output quality can change as providers evolve.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Leruna, interfere with its operation, bypass plan limits, automate abusive traffic, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malware, violate law or another person’s rights, or use the service to create unlawful or seriously harmful content. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, or third parties.

Third-party services and public books

Leruna depends on third-party services described in the Privacy Policy. Public-domain catalog information may come from Project Gutenberg. Availability in a catalog does not guarantee that a work is free of restrictions in every country; you are responsible for checking the law where you live.

Ownership

Leruna, its interface, branding, and original software are owned by Tuan Lima and protected by applicable law. These terms do not transfer ownership of your books or grant you rights to Leruna’s trademarks or software beyond the limited right to use the app.

Changes, suspension, and termination

You may stop using Leruna or delete your account at any time. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription managed by Apple. We may change or discontinue features and may suspend or terminate access for material violations, security risks, legal requirements, or prolonged service unavailability. If terms change materially, we will provide reasonable notice.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Leruna is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Leruna’s operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without limiting mandatory consumer protections or rights you may have where you live. Questions may be sent to tuanclima@gmail.com.
